Top 100 Environmental and Social Issues Films

(March 31, 2015)
Fed Up Growing Cities Pandora's Promise
Stephanie Soechtig's "Fed Up" (2014), a film about America's obesity epidemic, is the Top Renter in our Environmental & Social Issues category. Another food related documentary, "Growing Cities" (2013), which looks at urban farming in America, came is 2nd. And, "Pandora's Promise" (2013), about the history and future of nuclear power, rounds out the podium. Lately, we've noticed renewed interest in our Environmental & Social Issues category. We have well over 100 titles there (and more being added regularly) -- a great resource for anyone interested in subjects related to alternative energy, child slavery, sustainable food, pollution, animal rights, etc. Fwiw, other great local resource for Environmental issues are The Green Observer, Illinois Green Business Association, and Students for Environmental Concerns.
